i just bought this book cos obviously i have nothing better to do…

i just can’t see crochet as a good use of hanspun yarns. the structure of the stitch overwhelms the structure of the yarn, not to mention that while i love crochet for things like blankets and bags i just haven’t seen many convincing clothing designs beyond the odd lacy shawl or cardi.

the bottom line is if i’m going to spin i need to be able to use that yarn. i don’t feel crochet gives me enough scope to make the kind of things i’d like to.
