i just bought this book cos obviously i have nothing better to do…

i just can’t see crochet as a good use of hanspun yarns. the structure of the stitch overwhelms the structure of the yarn, not to mention that while i love crochet for things like blankets and bags i just haven’t seen many convincing clothing designs beyond the odd lacy shawl or cardi.

the bottom line is if i’m going to spin i need to be able to use that yarn. i don’t feel crochet gives me enough scope to make the kind of things i’d like to.

this doesn’t look good. i think i’m going to have to have the hoover on permanent standby. it appears madam is utterly freaked out by the little stray tufts of fluff all over the place.she just got some on her hands and wouldn’t stop running round screaming “ARGH! FLUFF!” long enough for me to get it off

perhaps she was switched at the hospital?
